In addition to owning his own retail store, Chip spent more than 20 years in distribution as a key account manager, regional manager, and as a distributor sales rep earning salesman of the year four times. He has participated in launching many major brands, such as Booker Noe, Basel Hayden, Tanqueray Vodka and Toasted Head, to name a few.

Providing strategic consulting and training for wine and spirits brands to effectively grow both brand and legacy in the US market. Chip works with clients, from a craft distillery in Seattle to a large Shop-Rite supermarket chain in New Jersey/New York to a boutique winery in California.

Opened a high volume store, known as the Snob-Free Zone, featuring more than 2000 wines/500 craft beers, and included a 30-seat classroom where he taught regular wine classes at all levels. The independently owned store successfully dominated, competing with major chains such as Food Lion, Total Wine and others. Sold as part of 5-year exit strategy. New owners have continued successful formula and opened another location.

Managed sales and marketing for 12 sales reps, training, setting and tracking sales goals, motivating, hand-holding, fire dowsing, etc. Developed six, twelve and twenty-month sales targets and forecasting creation and implementation. Represented more than 1200 wine, spirits and beer brands, specializing in restaurant wine list development and staff education.
